Southern Charm

Southern states need to come around to the calls for justice in this country and other places in the world.  They have been holding on to ridiculous values that  everyone else has surpassed decades ago.  The Civil War is long gone, and the truth is that the Confederacy lost the war—and for good reason!  If the government can figure out that racism and slavery is not a good thing in the 1860s, and again when the Fourteenth Amendment was passed, why in the fuck can the southern states not figure this shit out now? Equal justice under law?  There is no point to holding on to these perverse beliefs about Caucasian supremacy and poor treatment toward Black people and other creeds.  Giving in, and recognizing that the history of the South is nothing to be proud of, would benefit the states and their civilians when compared to holding on to these fucked up memories that includes treating Black people and others like shit.

By embracing the calls for equal justice, the  southern states would get more support from businesses and other organizations that want to bring better living situations to the area.  Right now, this is not happening, and has not happened, because many organizations are intimidated by the racial tensions that exist in the region.  Case in point, the surge of new commerce could change the South for the better and allow the many conservatives in the area to realize that ensuring equality is a good thing, as well as that the judgments being placed on them can be forgiven—yes, forgiven, and not accepted and forgotten!

This brings this author to the point of how the many civilians in the South have been fooled by the Republicans.  Elaborating more, many of the people in this area have been tolerating so-called representatives that condone racism and other forms of hate, and do so while also not caring about the welfare of their constituents.  This is not only a statement about race, that is.  Specifically, because of the status quo to keep outsiders—especially us pesky liberals—from entering the South so that change does not occur, the citizens in the area have been shafted by their lawmakers time-and-time again when it comes to evolving and living a better lifestyle.

Numbers from the South show that many of the areas are the poorest parts of the United States, and many people either turn to welfare or simply live impoverished lifestyles because of their blindness to the Republican agenda.  The people in the South need better healthcare and other social services, better jobs, lower taxes, less racially charged propaganda, and many more things that those “terrible” Democrats try to push through the legislative bodies of government.  This author is not saying the people in the South are dumb, but they have been fooled by their own Republican leaders.  Will you please come around, South?  It is in your best interest.  Right now, the South is in a position to change the world for the better if it wants to.
