Military Might

The armed forces in the United States needs to rise above the tyranny that is ongoing.  President Trump is totally out of control with his power and lack of public service.  In fact, he is embarrassing the armed forces and making them look like they are embracing the destroying of our democracy.  Some top leaders have spoken out against many of the President’s actions, while others have refused to work with him.  The few individuals that have done this have been deemed as incompetent by President Trump.  These attacks suggest that the Commander in Chief is impervious to our system of checks and balances, and that any dissent toward him will be met with a totalitarian course of actions.   There is something that can be done, and needs to be done, about this abuse of power by the President.

That is, the higher ranking military officials need to come together and devise a plan to rally up their underlings.  In other words, a top-down approach that focuses on presenting the facts about how the President is against democratic values and that his personal interests are the day-to-day focuses needs to be broadcasted to the world.  Such an inquisition can restore patriotism at a time when it is on the downhill and, in turn, show Americans that their military personnel wants to help maintain freedom and justice for all, as well as end the reign of a ruling social class.  The might of the armed forces can be heard without violence and constitutional infringements.  Using the media and holding town hall-style meetings would have a significant impact on the current executive branch’s overzealous authority.  Military people are allowed to talk to the public and engage in freedom of speech—it is not illegal or unconstitutional.  They are citizens too.

All of the branches of the military can support democracy without taking sides in the political spectrum as well.  Meaning that the above-mentioned actions can be done without supporting a candidate or entire party.  Doing so would also show the citizens that the actions of checking abuses of power are not politically motivated, but a stand against tyranny in our government.  Specific discussions about how the President condones racism and ethnic prejudices, supports police-based violence, and does not care about healthcare, education, or employment opportunities as he (President Trump) says he does.  Many other issues can be used too.  Facts from his tenure can be easily collected and presented by the military personnel who have the courage to stand up and talk about these problems.  The country needs this now more than ever.  Be the leaders that you are!
