Democratic Strategies for 2020
The Democrats are in
trouble. 2020 is closing in and the
party has yet to organize, develop any candidates that could win in places that
they lost in 2016, and for some unexplained reason only bitches at the
Republican party rather than putting together a strategy to defeat them. Moreover, the Democrats have been relying on
celebrities, citizens' protests, and unusual call-outs that, again, have done
nothing to revamp their losses and crybaby mentality that has been ongoing for
the past two years. Therefore, this
piece/blog focuses on Democratic strategies so that victory can be declared in
state and federal legislative bodies as well as in the Whitehouse.
Developing
Candidates
As
above-mentioned, the Democrats lack qualified candidates for the 2020 campaign/election. The party has been involved in attacking the
Republicans nonstop without recognizing the importance of organizing and
preparing candidates for the aggressive activities by the opposing party. Conjuring discrepancies is necessary, yet
there needs to be structured agendas in order to defeat the ridiculousness that
has been set in place by the Electoral College.
Developing candidates that are realistic and not simply concerned about
childish tendencies that include useless banter and harmful campaigns or
speeches about conservative politics needs to take place immediately. The following list contains qualified
candidates that are able to meet the expectations within this blog/piece and revive
the United States to a state of prosperity.
There are not better or worse candidates and the order of the individuals is not a ranking system by this author.
Joe Biden
Joe Biden possesses the
profound ability to communicate professionally with the public and address
public concerns realistically.
Additionally, his dedication to quality of life issues and previous
experience in public service makes him a great candidate to take on the current
administration and Republican party in general.
His ability to be brash at times is also a positive element for the 2020
campaign. Given the fact that our
current president is extremely volatile and abrasive in an immature manner, Joe
Biden’s ability to be assertive and canny during hostile times is another
attribute that would defeat the Republican’s nonsense during and after the campaign/election season. Lastly, his
tenure during the Obama administration could be rectified and reconfigured so
that the American citizens live a prosperous life.
Al Gore
Al
Gore was shitted on by the Supreme Court and deserves a second attempt to lead
the United States. His environmental views
and policies are top-notch and his understanding of the common people in the United
States is ideal for defeating the Republican party and turning America for the
better. His public service experience is
outstanding and his knowledge of how to participate is foreign affairs is also
something that could benefit the country.
Moreover, since Al Gore has not been in the public spotlight for many
years he has little scrutiny to deal with, thus the typical Republican
slander game would not be able to work.
Elizabeth Warren
Elizabeth
Warren is appropriate to have as a potential candidate because of her focus of
public health issues, marijuana laws, and conveying accurate disdain about public
policies by the current administration rather than simply participating in smack-talk
like most of the other current Democrats.
Also, Elizabeth Warren is sound in her politics without much aggression, does
not have serious problems with political donors, and routinely argues the facts
of the politics that are detrimental to American society. Being a woman is also a plus, as she fits the
standards of the current feminist movement and has the ability to understand
female problems in the United States more so than older White males.
Gavin Newsom
Gavin
Newsom is the American version of Justin Trudeau. His west coast-Californian politics is ideal
given the miserable and aggressive public service that has been ongoing since
2016. His experience allows him to be a
valid candidate and his views on marriage equality, LGBT issues in general, criminal
justice policies, and healthcare are in line with what many Americans are seeking
now. Gavin Newsom is also great at
giving public speeches and rallying groups to take charge in social matters
that are necessary to resolve. His
politics would be considered a breath of fresh air by many Americans given the current
administration’s daily hateful rants.
Joseph Kennedy, III
Joseph
Kennedy has the family background and public service experience that the
Democrats are in desperate need of. His liberal
views are not extreme, he is young enough to identify with the millennials, and
still provides sufficient resistance to many slanderous attacks that the Republicans
are known for doing during campaigns.
His relatives could be used as a trademark to set the path for a new
civil rights era – with positive solutions – and
implemented in a fashion so that equality and liberty in the United States is
sustained.
Marcia Fudge
Marcia
Fudge is able to identify with indigent Americans and African Americans. Her background serves as a plus because she does
not represent a very wealthy area, and her religious views allow her to call-out
the Republicans when they suggest that they are Christian and participate in
prejudices that are not in accordance to the religion’s beliefs. She also has committed herself to constant
work in the energy and space aviation and discovery fields, and oversight in
private and public entities. This
background is vital for defeating the Republicans when they make untrue claims
against global warming and other pollution policies. Finally, Marcia Fudge has little negative
experiences while serving in the government.
Suzan DelBene
Suzan
DelBene stands for marriage equality, environmental concerns, and healthcare
policies that benefit the American public.
She has been awarded with endorsements from well-respected organizations
that acknowledge sincere dedication to the above-mentioned matters. Withal, her business experience allows her to
make timely decisions that are able to positively impact millions of people. Suzan DelBene is a Democrat that has yet to
fully be in the spotlight and, because of this, her political attributes are
unable to be scrutinized by opposing parties and the Republicans in
general.
Kathleen Rice
Kathleen
Rice is an important Democrat. Given the
fact that she used to be a Republican, coupled with her defeat over a
Republican candidate, makes her a great choice for the 2020 primaries and
Whitehouse. Her role as a prosecutor
works in her favor because she was involved in dealing with public corruption
and additional white-collar crimes. Her
stances on the environment, criminal justice reform, and homeland security make
her sound in protecting Americans and delivering prosperity, as well as making
public officials and wealthy individuals accountable.
Bernie Sanders
Bernie
Sander is a good candidate, but he needs to revamp his policies a bit. Rather than suggesting things that are
impossible to produce in the United States, he needs to operate on realistic
changes that are possible in healthcare and education. His ideas about criminal justice reform and
wages are perfect, and his experience as a public official are also worthy of
being a presidential candidate in 2020.
In sum, Bernie Sanders has the ability to lead the United States to an
era where its citizens can live a prosperous life if specific campaign strategies are changed.
Allen St. Pierre
Allen St. Pierre is not a politician, but his skills in running large organizations that cater to public services is something that is credible for the 2020 election. His concentration on marketing and public policies in positive fashions allows the Democrats to have a qualified candidate that is not too political or boring in their way of life. Allen St. Pierre is also a good choice for the primaries and Whitehouse because he would be able to identify with voters from all walks of life, would have support from many non-profit organizations and victims of harsh drugs laws, as well as entire states that have legalized marijuana. He simply needs to create a public agenda and commence it in our society.
2020
Democratic Strategies
The Democrats need to
highlight the racial and ethnic biases that the current administration has been
participating in, the terrible criminal justice practices that go unchecked,
the amount of indictments and convictions that have taken place in the current administration,
the blatant lies about tax reform, poor foreign relations by President Trump,
family appointments to public office, and his (Trump's) hypocrisy in his personal life
and public official capacity. This needs
to be done in a professional manner with facts, official documents, and media
clips so that the American public can glean the hypocrisy and terrible
practices that have been ongoing.
Moreover, the liberal media needs to focus on public policies that are
not working or being addressed rather than slander about the Republicans in their
personal capacity. The following sections
highlight strategic practices that will allow for the Democrats to be
successful in their campaigns.
Drug
Laws
The nation’s drug laws
are ridiculous and the opioid epidemic is being used as an excuse to not reform
the strict policies and sentences for non-violent drug offenders. Democrats need to admonish the unnecessary
and ill-conceived war on drugs by making the opiate problem a healthcare
concern and legalizing marijuana.
Decriminalizing small amounts of other drugs would also be plausible, but
the United States’ citizens are only ready to deal with the legalization of
marijuana at this point. The federal
prison system needs to dismantled and prisons (state and federal) need to be shut down. Other criminal justice policies need to be revamped as well.
Immigration
Democrats have an easy
win if they make inferences about helping the Hispanic/Latino community in the
United States and the migrants who travel across the borders. Currently, the federal mandate against these individuals has made many people angry and it is necessary to refute policies that are rooted in
hatred and discrimination against a minority community in the United States and
in the world. Bringing up the impacts
that the zero-tolerance policy has had on children and foreign affairs will
surely allow the Democrats to prosper in the upcoming election.
Healthcare
The Republicans killed a
positive healthcare system in the United States and, in turn, harmed many
Americans because of their greedy desires that are rooted in excessive
capitalism. By presenting the drastic
cuts in the Affordable Care Act and CHIP policies, the Republicans will
look foolish, not patriotic, and disgusting in their public service. Senior citizens and children were harmed
because of the Republican cuts, and using this terrible agenda to decrease
healthcare coverage will be a utility that allows Democrats to prosper.
Guns
Guns restrictions are not
being produced because of the money that is being given to the Republican
party. The Second Amendment is outdated
and unnecessary. However, the Democrats
can utilize this issue by suggesting that better background checks and better
safety standards will allow for a safer society without attacking responsible
gun owners. The fact is that most gun
owners are responsible, and catering to this group in a way that is not too restrictive
or harsh would benefit the Democrats and allow them to win in the 2020 election year. Acknowledging the campaign contributions by the National Rifle Association is also necessary to do.
Foreign
Affairs
The Republicans have made
asses of themselves in foreign affairs again, and the Democrats can easily
point to the issues with Russia, North Korea, Canada, China, Mexico, and every country
in Central and South America when talking about the problems with the current international
agenda. The current federal administration
is embarking on a political agenda that has been making enemies and not
allies. This is extremely inappropriate
in our current culture.
Jobs
Republicans in 2016 – and
now – ran on creating jobs and better wages for middle-class Americans. Yet the economy in many areas of the country
is not doing any better since the election of Donald Trump and the recent tax reforms cater to the wealthy. This needs to be highlighted by the
Democrats. General numbers about unemployment
decreases are inappropriate because the numbers that have such impacts
typically come from larger urban areas.
Many Americans do not live in the aforementioned areas, and their hopes
about having better employment opportunities and better salaries were never met
by the current administration.
James
Comey Issue
The ordeal with the
former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation needs to go away. James Comey is an unprofessional law enforcer
who capitalized off of being fired and testifying during the 2016 campaign. Democrats needs to remove their attachment
from him and concentrate on improving police relations with the community
rather than using a disgruntled ex-cop as a basis to win votes. In reality, James Comey is not a great
example of a good law enforcer. He spied
on people, refused to invoke innovation within his organization, acted like J.
Edgar Hoover at times – without the cross-dressing – and has a lifelong
affiliation with the Republican party.
Even with his recent comments about not enjoying the Republican
practices, he still has made many choices that are based on resentments and conservative
morals.
Conclusion
If the Democrats are able
to utilize all of the above-mentioned issues to their advantage, and do so without
acting like childish idiots, then winning the 2020 election should not be a problem
even with the corrupted Electoral College being used.
Given the daily problems that have manifested from this current
administration, there is no doubt that there are many facts that support claims
about being biased and terrible in public policies. Major harms have been conducted by the
Republicans and the party is able to be easily defeated if their major fallacies
are expressed to the public in a professional and honest manner. Finally, the Democrats should look for more potential candidates who are not lifelong politicians.
