Enhanced Penalties for Corrupt Criminal Justice Professionals

Criminal justice professionals have always held themselves to the highest integrity that can be exhibited.  Of course, this is an awesome gesture and should be the proclivity of every professional in the criminal justice system.  With this virtue being posited, the integral characteristics that are occasionally challenged by some in the profession calls for a better method to resolute the unethical and immoral actions.  Specifically by adding a sentencing procedure that includes enhanced penalties for corrupt criminal justice professionals.

This blogs addresses the facts of the overwhelming amount of intrusion of the laws and rights, as well as disobeying the oaths that many people have taken, within this country by the callous people who somehow made into law enforcement.  Moreover, by acknowledging the fact that many criminal justice professionals have a zero tolerance policy for such behavior it should be noted that this is not an application of literature being directed to all of the people who are working in law enforcement.  The theory that is attempting to be permeated is that the people who are given the responsibility of justice in this country should be held very liable when they disregard the core values and integrity of the profession, as well as the common values in this country while wearing the criminal justice uniform.  Without having a criminal procedure (an enhanced penalty) that combats the disparaging law enforcement methods the practitioners, and justice system, turns into a “good faith” exception.  The term “good faith” is used with caution because there are people who apply authentic justice and make mistakes; the fact remains that humans are prone to not being perfect.  However, when a law enforcer deliberately disregards the aforementioned integrity and implies his or her own form of justice then the criminal justice system turns into a form tyranny.  This intrusive and perverse form of professionalism is disgusting and should not be taken lightly by citizens, and certainly not be tolerated by the other professionals in the policing, courts, and correctional departments.  Once again, it discredits the entire mindset and definition of our criminal justice system.  My question is this:  When a few jerks are not acting in accordance to the standards of any of the previously mentioned professions, and especially if they’re given minor punishments, how can anyone trust the public services (particularly the criminal justice system) without thinking about further corruption?  This ideology calls for an enhanced punishment for anyone who is a law enforcer and is acting in a callous and sociopathic fashion.   Additionally, the minor sentences and silly procedures that are undergone to those who dismiss the profession’s integrity are extremely insulting.  The message that should be sent to the people who work in this occupation should be one that stresses the idea of never condoning a breach in the constitutional rights and other laws in this country.  If they are, then an enhanced penalty will be ensued and any excuses for such behavior will not be tolerated at all.

In brief, the call for an enhanced penalty for corrupt criminal justice professionals is necessary, and would convey the sense that we are attempting to uphold the country’s basis of liberty, freedom, and justice for all.  Applying the “laws” only because a person can is not a virtue that criminal justice professionals should participate in.  This illegal behavior by the people who have been given the responsibility to serve and protect (not only in policing) is something that needs to discussed and implemented. Create the law, enact it, and watch the integrity of the criminal justice system rise to where it needs to be.  Conjuring up silly excuses for how this is not a good idea exhibits insecure thoughts and unprofessional behaviors.  Officers of the law, courtroom administrators, and correctional officers should have no problem supporting the ideas in this blog if they are true to their profession!
